Eagles guitarist Joe Walsh has been in Capitol Studios in Hollywood with his brother-in-law Ringo Starr (Walsh is married to Marjorie Bach, the sister of Ringo’s wife Barbara Bach) and Mick Jagger. He tweets, “Cooking up something here at Capitol Records! I think you’ll like it.”
Also joining in are Don Was, Bill Withers, drummer Jim Keltner, Keb Mo and former CSN keyboardist Mike Finnigan. A spokeswoman for Walsh was unavailable for comment, but perhaps he is working on the blues album he told us he wanted to do next.
“I’m gonna do a blues album with all the people that I respect. By that I mean Bonnie Raitt, Taj Mahal, Keb Mo, Dr. John, Kenny Wayne Shepherd – a whole bunch of blues people. This is just an idea I have, but that’s what I’m gonna do.”

Walsh is on the road this Spring touring with Detroit’s own Bob Seger & the Silver Bullet Band for select dates including here at the Palace of Auburn Hills April 11th and 13th.
