Ringo Starr & His All Starr Band kicks off their latest North American tour tonight in San Francisco at The Masonic. The former-Beatle has long been a proponent of switching up All Starr lineups after every tour — but has now been hitting the road with the same band since 2012.
The group features returning All Starrs Todd Rundgren on guitar, Mr. Mister’s Richard Page on bass, drummer, Detroit’s own, Gregg Bissonette, Santana and Journey co-founding keyboardist Gregg Rolie, and Toto‘s co-founding guitarist Steve Lukather. New to the band is saxophonist Warren Ham, who’s been keeping All Starr veteran Mark Rivera‘s seat warm while he’s out on the road with Billy Joel.
Just released is Ringo’s new photo memoir, titled Photographs, drawn from his personal archives “from his early childhood days in Liverpool through to the Beatles and beyond.
