Could we see Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr play at the Ed Sullivan Theater again?

That’s reportedly the plan the producers of “The Late Show With David Letterman” have in mind for early next month. Showbiz411.com reports that Letterman’s show for the week of February 3rd to the 7th will be Beatles-themed to mark the 50th anniversary of their appearance on “The Ed Sullivan Show”. The show’s producers are hoping to get McCartney and Starr to perform together on February 7th, which was the day the Fab Four arrived in New York in 1964. The anniversary of the Sullivan appearance is on February 9th, which is when CBS will air the Beatles Grammy special.

The last time McCartney and Starr performed on stage together was at New York’s Radio City Music Hall on April 4th, 2009 at the “Change Begins Within” benefit concert.
